Elos Medtech is seeking an experienced Product Development Engineer with strong mechanical engineering expertise.

Product Development – Your New Team
As our new colleague, you will join the Product Development department, consisting of 17 employees, including 7 dedicated Product Development Engineers. The department is part of our Dental Business Unit, with production sites in several countries, including Germany, Switzerland, Sweden, and Denmark (Gørløse).
The team is responsible for the full product development lifecycle, including 3D design, 2D drawings, materials, labeling, technical documentation, design verification, design validation, and project management. In this role, you will take ownership of defined project responsibilities while having excellent opportunities to expand your competencies and grow professionally across multiple technical disciplines.
We support our customers with design solutions, material selection, new packaging and labeling concepts, and optimized production processes. Throughout the development of Elos Medtech products, we ensure that all technical documentation complies with applicable medical device regulations.
You will work in cross-functional teams and collaborate closely with Production Engineering, Product Management, our Commercial team, and Regulatory Affairs. Project execution is characterized by a high degree of delegation and responsibility, and you will report directly to the Product Development Manager.
Your Main Responsibilities
- Participate in cross-functional development projects related to dental products and customer-specific solutions
- Mechanical design, tolerance definition, material selection, definition of production processes, and Design for Manufacturing
- Planning and execution of verification testing and design validation
- Preparation of technical documentation in accordance with internal development processes and international regulations (ISO 13485, FDA, etc.)
- Optimization and implementation of design changes to Elos Medtech dental products
- Short business travel may occur in connection with customer projects and can be planned in advance
Your Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering
- Strong interest in precision mechanics combined with a solid practical understanding of manufacturability
- More than 5 years of experience in product development within the medical device industry
- Proficient in 3D/2D CAD modeling, preferably PTC Creo
- Experience with, or motivation to learn, Design Control documentation in compliance with ISO 13485 and FDA 21 CFR Part 820
- Result-driven and self-motivated, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Strong English communication skills, both written and spoken
