We are looking for…

A Supply Chain/Purchasing Manager, this role will collaborate with other departments in the sourcing of all direct, indirect, service and transportation suppliers.  Support engineering and sales with capital expenditure purchases.  Develops and maintains supply agreements with critical suppliers.  Collaborate with the Controller in managing site inventory process and budgeting.  Drives the required internal collaboration with operations, engineering, quality, purchasing, and finance.

Responsibilities:

  • Conducts product sourcing and pricing research
  • Works cross functionally with Sales and Plant Operations to identify, escalate and address capacity issues
  • Creates opportunities for sites to share and develop best practices
  • Facilitate a high level of employee participation in Continuous Improvement activities to foster high engagement, accountability and results
  • Manages department employees, provide training, competency assessments and reviews and assist in their professional development
  • Oversees and maintains supplier relationships, accounts payable files and quality records
  • Conduct site, global supply negotiations to leverage and optimize spend
  • Maintains supply contracts with direct, indirect, service and transportation suppliers
  • Interacting with suppliers on RFQ process to endure customer specifications and requirements are met
  • Perform demand analysis each quarter highlighting areas of concern for the next 12 months down to direct materials
  • Works with the Controller in developing the annual direct, indirect, and finished goods budget
  • Monitor direct and indirect purchases
  • Works with Controller in overseeing the site level inventory management process
  • Supports Capital Expenditure Purchases

    Requirements:

  • Analytical /critical thinking skills for problem solving
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to develop and deliver clear, concise and persuasive presentations
  • Detail oriented and with good organizational skills
  • BS/BA in Engineering, Business Management or similar
  • Experience with medical device industry
  • Purchasing experience preferred
  • Experience in fast paced manufacturing/production environment preferred.
