Growing up in a family of healthcare professionals combined with a great interest in mechanics, the decision to work in the medtech industry was a no-brainer. Meet Andreas B Ingemann, Product Development Engineer at Elos Medtech in Denmark.
A passion for development and mechanics
Andreas is a Product Development Engineer at Elos Medtech in Denmark. He develops dental products for Elos Medtech’s customers and is involved in the entire product development process from research and design to prototyping, testing, validation, and documentation.
For Andreas, with his family background and interest in mechanics and detailed technical knowledge, working in the medtech industry was the ideal choice.
– I work with product development within dentistry, the work around dental implants, and the products related to that. I grew up in a family of healthcare professionals, where I found my initial interest in the industry. I also have a great interest in mechanics, so the medtech industry was the ideal choice for me.
A digitalized medical device industry
Andreas is also one of the engineers that developed Elos Medtech’s Elos Accurate® Hybrid Base™ for digital workflows. He finds digital dentistry an exciting field that is developing at a rapid speed.
– The medical device industry has changed over the years and become more digital using advanced software, 3D printers, and 3D scanners. At Elos Medtech, we are working with the latest technology in CNC machinery, laser equipment, and robots. To me, it is exciting to work with all these new technologies.
Improving the quality of life through technology
According to Andreas, technological advancements are not only important for developing new medical products but imperative for improving people’s lives.
– I have always been interested in technology and working with products that make a real difference in people’s lives. This is why the medtech industry was an obvious choice for me. It motivates me to work with products that, by the use of new technology, improve the quality of life for people, says Andreas.
