A rewarding workplace with friendly colleagues
Sofie works as an Operator at Elos Medtech’s production site Skara. She lives in Vinninga on the outskirts of Lidköping and enjoys the quiet life in the small community. Her workdays usually start the same way – with an early workout.
– I am often told I am crazy for getting up at half past five to work out before work. But it is a wonderful feeling to then come into work at Elos Medtech and meet my colleagues. I especially appreciate the friendly feeling that exists between people.
Accuracy is key in medical device operations
As an Operator, Sofie handles medtech components for different medical devices, some of which hugely impact the quality of life for people.
– The components I work with are made for medical devices such as respirators or pacemakers, which are life-saving products. As an Operator, you need to be on your toes and pay attention to deviations. You have to know what to look for in order to decide if a component is safe or not. Accuracy must always be part of the bigger picture, down to the very smallest detail.
Ensuring safe medtech components
Sofie has worked in the healthcare industry for years, mostly with people or patients. Working on the manufacturing side is a new positive experience for her.
